Origin Search Application for people residing in Chile or abroad

In order to access to the search process for your origins through this Service, we invite you to review the information on this page, which indicates the steps to fill in the application form.

To start your application, select the "iniciar trámite” (Start procedure) button of this section, which will allow you to enter the application form of the Integrated Adoption Information System (SIIA), indicating Chile or the corresponding country on the field "País de residencia” (Country of residence).

After filling in the form and pressing the "Finalizar” (Finish) button, the message “Su solicitud fue registrada”. (Your application has been registered) will appear.

In turn, the system will send you a welcome email, indicating file number and password. Such key will allow you to continuously track the status of your application at the following link adopcion.sis.mejorninez.cl, where you must select the option “Solicitante BUO”, (BUO Applicant), and set your username and password informed at the time of registration.

Important: Before finishing, you are recommended to check if the email indicated by you on this form is properly written, or otherwise you will not receive the email that provides your username and password. Do not forget to record all the fields indicated as mandatory(*), for it depends on them whether or not your request has been processed.

Once your application has been activated on the system, a Service professional will contact you to guide you in your search process.

If you require further information or need support, you may also contact the Adoption Unit or the Information, Claims and Suggestions Office (OIRS) of the Regional Office for Better Childhood corresponding to your address (see mailing list).
